BLENDING TECHNIQUES

DROP BY DROP TECHNIQUES:

       Drop by drop techniques is best method to formulate the personalized perfume,inhaler, diffuser and candle making.

       Essential oil classified into four types based on scent,evaporate ability and molecular size.

        1.Carrier oil:

                ▪︎Carrier oil used for dilute essential oil and its acts barrier to the skin.

                ▪︎Carrier oil are unscented or lightly scented and its nourished the skin.

                ▪︎It is easy blend with skin and its also make the essential long shelf life.

                  Example: Fractionated coconut                                               oil,Olive oil.

        2.Top note oil:

               ▪︎It intial scent and quick evaporate.

               ▪︎The molecules are small and light weight.

               ▪︎Aroma: fresh,sharp and assertive scent.

                     Example:Lemon,orange and                                                 bergamot .

         3.Middle note oil:

                 ▪︎It known as "the heat " of the notes.

                 ▪︎Make up 70% of scent and that remain full body of the fragrances.

                 ▪︎Aroma: Aromatic herbs.

                      Example : lemongrass,lavender.

          4. Base note oil:

                 ▪︎ It has heavily molecules weight and its slowly evaporate.

                 ▪︎Aroma:Rich and deep scent.

                       Example : Sandalwood and                                                      vanilla.

  30:50:20 Rule:

             The rules helps us to blend the essential oil in the proper way

              • 30% of  top note oils ( 3 drops)

              • 50% of middle note oils ( 5 drops)

              • 20% of base note oils ( 2 drops)

the three note oils blend with Carrier oil by drop by drop techniques.
